American Legion Auxiliary

Larchwood American Legion Auxiliary was organized to defend and teach the principles of democracy and to uphold the law of the land, to foster patriotism, to venerate and serve veterans, to instill a sense of obligation to the community, state and nation, to guard the basic freedoms of religion, expression and choice, to support the work of the American Legion and to continue the association with devotion for service to God and country.

HISTORY: 

The organization began December 1, 1923. It started with 13 charter members. The charter was received May 31, 1924 and by then had 26 members. Mrs. Frank  Ashton was the first president. Members is now 54 with Betty Smith serving as president.

MEETINGS: 2nd Wednesday of the month at 7:30 p.m. at the Legion
